Aim

This Community Project shares improved Performing Arts facilities for the students and the community it serves.

Community Project Aim

As a Community College, Eggbuckland has great belief in the power and impact of the Arts on the personal development of young people. To help achieve this aim, we want to give our own students, and those living in our community, the opportunity to benefit from high quality facilities.

Project Need

Our College and Community Drama Studio is in urgent need of a face-lift. At nearly 40 years old, the original lights are failing rapidly, the floor worn and front-of-house curtains are non-existent. In order to inspire young people and help nurture their creativity, we really want to provide them with the quality of environment that they truly deserve.

Plan for Improvement

We are striving to raise funds for the flooring replacement with one that will enhance the Drama Studio for live performances, community clubs rehearsals and recordings of shows.

These rehearsals and performances rely greatly on the new lighting that are more efficient and can provide the actors and students with a more vibrant and professional setting for their performing experiences.

Funding Target

The improved lighting and replacement flooring are -

This refurbishment will enhance the environment for a more exciting learning and performing space. We estimate that this will directly affect 1000+ community users and students.
