Provide extra training to uses in the hospitality area
Aim: To provide the local community a town centre space for the community to enjoy whilst focusing of those affected by the cost of living crisis
We are Bird Aid, a small local charity that provides supported opportunities to learning disabled and autistic adults, who for whatever reason do not have an adult social care service by offering activities at its Gull rehabilitation centre, charity shop and community cafe
This provides a space for the local community use often being the single place they can go to alleviate social isolation. with the aim of helping with peoples mental health and wellbeing Whilst we ensure we provide a warm space and hot beverages at minimal cost if anything during this cost of living crises. Also ensuring we supporting local businesses by encouraging people to the area
The cost of living crisis is having a direct impact on the community and our own utility costs are increasing, we want to continue to provide a facility that will meet the needs of the community It is essential that we maintain vital existing services in the face of rising energy costs and make the community space more welcoming by providing a warm space.
With rising costs we need to ensure we have sufficient funds to meet the increases to maintain an alternative and to provide a warm space during the colder months
