Develop a community board game lending library that enables individuals to access a range of games to explore at home with family or friends
Character Creation Roleplaying began life offering Dungeons and Dragons sessions as a fun and creative way of supporting the learning of basic skills, cooperative storytelling, social skills and soft skills.
We have since grown and now offer similar learning opportunities to the wider community through afterschool and holiday clubs, community board game days and a Building Block Bibliotheca (lending library).
Our aim is to raise funds to be able to create and maintain a board game lending library that would allow members of the community to borrow a wide range of board games at affordable prices.
Board games allow us to keep our minds active, provide a focal point for communication and socialisation and above all else are fun. Having fun, laughing with friends and engaging in enjoyable activities is so important to our mental wellbeing.
We have already seen positive results from our monthly community board game days and we want to build on that positive foundation with this project.
