Community Art Project

Aim

To encourage community engagement- cohesion through art refurbishing a Footbridge that the youth use daily as a showcase for inspiration.

Diversity Lewes was formed to create awareness on All things discriminatory we strive to bring the Lewes District communities together to fight for causes that are passionately felt by our members. We have been doing an annual event called the international Soup festival it’s main purpose was to celebrate our differences by creating community cohesion.

We have several members in our community who are established professionals in their career and these individuals are willing to share their talents to mentor and act as role models for our youths.

We have come up with this idea to allow talented individuals within our schools to showcase their works in a public visible location that they will be proud of.

Our vision is to have an exhibition of All the submitted works to be done virtually and with physical distanced options at the Town Hall so all participants can be celebrated for their efforts and subsequently make this an annual event to promote local talents not only within Lewes Town ,but Sussex wide.

The Extra funding raised will enable the making of prints of the winning entries for sale at the information office together with other merchandise, postcards ,Greeting Cards,Tea Towels.

This project successfully funded on 14th April 2021
