We're raising vital funds to enable us to offer a hot meal to the elderly residents that suffer from loneliness and rarely leave their homes
Who are we?
The Communi-Tea Circle organise bi-weekly social afternoon tea's and dinners for the elderly in our community that live alone and suffer from loneliness.
Community impact
Our aim is to reduce loneliness amongst the elderly within our community. Our fantastic volunteers drive our members to and from the events, which range from hosted afternoon teas' to local pub dinners.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Currently, our members range from early 70's through to 96 and being vulnerable, the cost of living crisis will affect them the most. It's vital that we can continue to offer them a reason to leave the house and an opportunity to socialise over a hot meal.
How we’ll spend the money raised...
Everyone at the Communi-Tea Circle is a volunteer, and all funds raised go directly to supporting our elderly members. This crowdfunding will enable us to increase the frequency of the events we host, along with reaching new members that currently receive no support.
To facilitate this growth, we also hope to launch our website and increase our social media presence, which will enable us to attract volunteers and reach more vulnerable residents.
