Here at CPWM, we’re proud to have released music by some amazing musicians - but many are struggling even more than usual right now because COVID-19 has meant they can’t play live, get to recording studios and do all the things that musicians usually do! None of us know how long this will last even when lockdown starts to be relaxed. So we wanted to see what we could do to help!

Who are we?

CPWM is a label / promoter / magazine / development organisation and when we work with emerging artists we support them around full release campaigns, radio plugging, live showcasing opportunities to help them make the most of the release.

We’ve been lucky to have released 7” singles from  The Wedding Present, Katie Harkin, Team Picture, Dead Naked Hippies, Talkboy, Marsicans, Mansion Of Snakes and loads more: CPWM Singles So Far

Our first 12"

We thought maybe it was time for our cute little 7”s to grow large just this once (they've over-eaten during lockdown!) — so we’re pulling together our first 12” on “eco-vinyl” to show the world some of the most exciting musicians from Leeds right now! 

nb Eco-vinyl production means using leftover wax already in the factory so that each record is different and the colour is completely random and unique! It’s also a little bit more environmentally friendly as it’s using up material that would otherwise be thrown away!

The contributing artists

We wanted to find a way to do something that got a little cash back to some of the brilliant contributing musicians that we work with and so asked all 13 to contribute one exclusive track for your listening pleasure. They’ve all kindly given their track for free - so in return we’re going to try and help them in these massively challenging times by returning all profits made from the eco-vinyl LP sale to the artists. A lot of them are really struggling after dates / releases have been rescheduled / cancelled so we’re hoping this can be a really positive thing to launch right now for everyone!

Pledge before 22nd May we’ll also add your names to the list of ‘Thank Yous’ in the sleeve credits! Everyone that pledges will get a Thank You in one of our upcoming Come Play With magazines! (Come Play With magazine)

The album should be available 17th July (we’ll mail them earlier if they are ready before then!) and the full track listing includes thirteen brand new tracks including remixes, re-workings, demos and live cuts from Team Picture, Jasmine, Van Houten, English Teacher, Dialect, Tall Talker, Dead Naked Hippies, Magick Mountain, DENSE, Her Tilted Moons, Maya Kally, Talkboy & Household Dogs.
