Virtually Opera
17th March 2025Crowdfunder Backer Update #10 - Halfway To The End
Dear all,
It's been a heck of a three weeks. From get-in (Maggie and I hand-painted an entire 16-metre tunnel) to opening, press nights to today, the team and I have been working very hard to create something that (to my mind) fulfils the whole promise of Virtually Opera: beautiful entertainment.
It's also been a pleasure to see so many of you in-person, hand over mugs, coasters, and other rewards, and share the Trilogy with you.
If you haven't already booked, you've got two weeks left to come and join us - so please do! We've added £10 tickets to weekend shows, and our bundles continue to offer the next-cheapest way to see the whole Trilogy.
We've also been having some nights with very slow sales - if there's anyone you'd recommend the Trilogy to, please do give them a nudge our way. Once it's closed, it's closed.
But for now, I'd like to end by praising the wonderful cast, who've been bringing the magic to life with our audience. To quote my favourite review: "ominous and haunting, yet inviting... the thing that's really stuck with us is how much freedom each show affords its audience... it allows them to forge their own path and take real ownership of what unfolds." - Immersive Rumours.
Best wishes,
Leo
(P.S. We've also been selling custom card decks, designed by the fabulous Charley Ipsen. Based on a prop used in the show, we decided to get an exclusive run of 50 decks to show off the beautiful art. Do write to me if you'd like one, or pick one up when you visit the show!)
