Collings Park Trust is a registered charity which is working to save a precious green space in the heart of Plymouth.
Collings Park Trust is a registered charity working to create a community garden, open to all, to be enjoyed by generations now and to come.
The project will preserve and enhance wildlife and create a wonderful green space for food-growing, exercise and community events.
The site in the heart of Plymouth comprises former lawn tennis courts next to the Collings Park playing fields in Mannamead.
They fell into disuse and were earmarked for possible development.
Local people who had long used the area for recreation, relaxation and - like James and Sophia in our film - blackberrying, have rallied round. They've set up the Collings Park Trust, come up with a plan and worked with the council to agree, in principle, the site's purchase.
Now we're ready to make this plan a reality. £20,000 will cover the agreed purchase price and some associated costs and help towards some initial clearance and fencing work on the site itself
The purchase of this site would be a wonderful Christmas present for the people of Plymouth. Thank you for your support!
