Colins Coast to Coast Charity Constitutional.

Aim

I'm walking from St Bees in Cumbria on the West Coast to Robin Hoods Bay on the East Yorkshire Coast in England fundraising for 3 charities

I intend to hike across England from the 22nd May to the 5th June. Whilst doing this i would like to raise funds for 3 very worthy charities.

1/ Prostate Cancer Research. Two of my friends have thankfully survived this cancer, however 1 out of 8 men within the UK will be affected by this condition and more research needs carried out so as to reduce this number even further.

2/ The Poppy Appeal. As an active member of the Royal British Legion I know the vital work that the funds raised for the Poppy Appeal does. I have seen first hand how it helps our Veterans, Serving Armed Forces Personnel and their Families.

3/ Harbour House. This respite centre for Veterans is ran by Beyond the Battlefield who are based in North Down. they provide respite breaks for Veterans and their Families and also provide shelter for Homeless Veterans. This project is entirely self funded and need funds so as to maintain this amazing centre.

I know that in the current financial climate charities are struggling to receive funding and there are hundreds of desrving charities all out there crying out for support, but if i could ask you all to spare what you can and help these 3 nominated charities it would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will be divided equally between them. Any expenses such as travel etc will be met by myself.
