For more than 65 years, Colebridge Table Tennis Club has been Solihull and Birmingham’s leading Table Tennis Club. As a registered charity we pride ourselves on hosting community focused table tennis for all. We currently provide:
- Seven weekly junior coaching sessions
- Women & Girls' coaching sessions
- Golden Oldies social sessions
- TT Kidz coaching sessions - targeting under 11's to start table tennis.
- Adult coaching sessions
Colebridge is also at the heart of local competitive table tennis, the home of 10 Birmingham League teams, 2 Leamington League teams, 4 National Cadet teams, 3 Junior League teams, and 2 Women's British League teams.
Many cadet, junior, senior and veteran players represent the Warwickshire County teams, and last season, the club saw 4 players represent England Schools in International events.
We achieve all of this thanks to the generosity of our senior members and volunteer management committee.
Our venue is small (with two competitive playing rooms, and five tables that can be used for coaching sessions), but with an average 200 annual members and many social visitors our community impact is huge.

Whilst we are very proud of our players who represent the club at the highest national and international level, we are equally supportive of nurturing and welcoming recreational players, who want to play the sport because of the social and health benefits. These players are made to feel as welcome, included, valued and supported as much as our performance players and are included in social events, club competitions and regular coaching sessions.
After decades of running repairs all the experts agree, we need a new roof. Such a large single expense is beyond our means, so we are asking for the community to help. If our fundraising is successful, we will replace the roof entirely, safely remove the existing asbestos and insulate for a greener and warmer future, providing a safer playing environment for all our members.

The money raised by our Crowdfunding project aims to:
- To replace the roof and safely remove the asbestos at Colebridge Table Tennis Club.
- Create a safer and warmer playing environment for everyone.
Located less than 8 miles from central Birmingham, host of the Commonwealth Games 2022, we plan to capitalise on this worldwide sporting event by encouraging and supporting those in the local community who are inspired by the Games to take up table tennis. Playing the sport offers multiple benefits to the community, including bringing people together, improving physical and mental health, getting active and the social aspects of the sport.

As a club we are genuinely committed to enabling and supporting all members of the local community, regardless of their diverse needs and circumstances, to actively participate in table tennis, from a grass roots level to competitive play. We hope to bring the community together, inspiring those interested in the sport, creating a legacy from the successful 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games that will live on for generations to come.
A 24/7 Table Tennis Club is a very rare find in the West Midlands and a new roof at Colebridge will enable us to create and maintain a lasting legacy in line with those of the Commonwealth Games and United by Birmingham 2022. We know, having engaged with club members and the local community that providing a high quality playing environment will be hugely beneficial to the community, helping to bring people together and unite those wanting to be active and play table tennis in their local place and space.
Multiple Colebridge members volunteered at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, as part of the Commonwealth Collective, to help provide a lasting legacy for such a prestigious event.

Colebridge offers table tennis to all, and sessions are fully inclusive! Our youngest member is 6 years, whilst our oldest member is 92 years young. Table tennis is offered recreationally, socially and competitively to all those involved, with interested members travelling from areas of lower deprivation including Yardley Wood and Hall Green which are within a few miles of Colebridge, as well as further afield including Northamptonshire to attend sessions.
With the county's largest table tennis membership, Colebridge's diverse community impact goes well beyond its immediate postcode. We are proud of our record of providing subsidised coaching sessions and competitive opportunities for our juniors to play. Such sessions, new initiatives (including TT Kidz), and competitions have been made possible through previous grants from Table Tennis England; Sport England: Return to Play (post Covid); the Baron Davenport Charity and the generosity of our membership.
The club offers a popular 'Golden Oldies' session on a Tuesday afternoon, which targets our over 50's players, where players enjoy not only playing against one another, but also the social side attached to table tennis, with lots of tea and cake consumed! Additionally, there are several 'Open sessions' during the week for any member or visitors to attend, who are welcomed by our existing members.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Purchase rewards from our Crowdfunding page. Following generous donations we have a range and variety of rewards available, including vouchers, table tennis equipment, coaching opportunities, and one off donations. Please support the Club and take advantage of one of these exciting rewards.
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! Let your family, friends, colleagues and community know about our fundraising efforts and Crowdfunder page. The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer additional rewards that we can add to our Crowdfunder page. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

It is important we receive your help NOW, not tomorrow, next week or the week after. The Crowdfunding page is only open for 8 weeks from Monday 16th January. This is an "all or nothing" fundraising initiative, therefore, if we do not reach the £20k fundraising target, all donations will be refunded, and Colebridge get nothing. On 5th March 2023, the Colebridge Table Tennis Club Crowdfunding page closes and we unfortunately can no longer raise funds through it.
Thank you so much from all of us at Colebridge for taking advantage of one of our rewards, sponsoring the club or making a donation - we are very grateful. As a result of the support given we aim be able to enhance and improve the overall experience at Colebridge for members and the local community.
