Aim: We are raising money to support the women and babies in Gaza. Pregnant women deserve to have antenatal care and a safe place to give birth.

A group of local people have started a Greencastle to Gaza campaign with support from our GAA club to come together to organise a Coffee morning for Palestine Aid. (More details: https://fb.me/e/4GqHIgevr)

We have set up this fundraising page for any local businesses & individuals who wish to donate online or anyone who cannot attend our coffee morning.

As Gaels intrinsically linked to our local communities, it is difficult to stand by and watch similar communities in Gaza being systematically wiped out.
The near total collapse of the health-care infrastructure, coupled with the lack of access to essential medical services, has resulted in a tragic surge in preventable maternal and neonatal deaths.
Action is the antidote to despair, now is your chance to do something practical and helpful, particularly at this time when the genocide in Gaza has disproportionally targeted and affected women and children.
All money raised will go directly to Palestine Aid*, who are a registered volunteer charity, to help towards the costs to build a mobile maternity unit to enter Gaza to provide maternity care for the women and mothers who cannot access safe and appropriate antenatal and postnatal care. There will also be a safe clean space for giving birth. This is a sorely needed and vital medical resource!
There will also be a Raffleon the day of the coffee morning, raffle tickets are available in Centra Greencastle and also from Sinéad Warnock (07849394001) - £1 a strip or 6 strips for £5.
