Aim: We are holding a concert in our home, in April, to raise funds to support children and young people in Tanzania.
Dear Friend,
We are holding a concert in our home in April in aid of a Tanzanian charity (https://kijana-kwanza.org/). The Swahili words Kijana Kwanza mean "Young People First". The organisation is based in Moshi, northern Tanzania, and it helps children and young people access education, vocational learning, and life skills to prepare them for a future without poverty, and providing emergency support and long-term transformative interventions.
The Petrus Trio comprising:
Peter Hewitt (piano)
Peter Fisher(violin)
Peter Adams (cello)
will play the monumental Tchaikovsky piano trio. This towering masterpiece is full to the brim with every conceivable emotion and experience and this will be a rare chance to witness a live performance of this epic piece at such close quarters. The fabulous Petrus Trio have performed to great acclaim in all the UK's major venues over many years.
All proceeds will go to Kijana Kwanza thanks to the generosity of the artists.
Kijana Kwanza is a UK registered charity.
The concert will be followed by coffee and cake.
