A football-themed coding platform helping neurodivergent kids learn through play—boosting skills, confidence, and creativity.
💡 About Me
I’m Kate, a mum of two, an engineer, and a recent graduate with a BA Hons in Applied Management. My son Ollie is 9 and neurodivergent, with Autism and Combined ADHD. Like many children with similar profiles, Ollie has struggled academically and with confidence. But something changed when we tapped into his passion for football.
By turning football into a learning tool, we helped Ollie catch up in school. Then we discovered his love for coding, a structured, logical world where he could thrive. That moment sparked an idea: what if we could help other children like Ollie discover their strengths through coding, too?
⚽ The Idea: Code & Create – Football Edition
Code & Create is a football-themed digital coding platform designed for neurodivergent children aged 6–12. It uses visual, emotionally attuned modules to teach coding through play. Kids build teams, design kits, create stadiums, and simulate leagues—all while learning real coding concepts like loops, variables, and arrays.
We’ve also built in emotional support tools like a Calm Zone, Mood Meter, and a “Show Mum” button—because confidence and wellbeing matter just as much as skills.
👩👦 Supporting Parents Too
As a working mum in tech, I know how isolating and overwhelming it can be to support a neurodivergent child while juggling career and family. That’s why Code & Create includes a Parent Portal with printable planners, meltdown logs, toy reviews, and interviews with other parents and neurodivergent professionals.
This isn’t just a product—it’s a community.
🌍 Our Vision
We envision a world where every child, regardless of neurotype, can build, code, and create with confidence. A world where working mums in tech feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
💰 How We’ll Use Your Support
