We did it
On 26th December 2022 we successfully raised £20,040 ( + est. £2447.50 Gift Aid ) with 43 supporters in 56 days

To create a dedicated studio within our old farm site to support the well being of local people through creativity, craft and art therapy.

 New stretch target

Our initial aim is to convert our old barn into a studio, using the funds to pay for the building work and some essential fixtures and fittings including a kiln. With a further £5000 we would purchase additional tools and equipment including double potters wheels to run more workshops for more people.

Coda is an award-winning charity engaging people of all ages, regardless of their ability. We are truly inclusive and responsive to the needs of our local community and we are one of the few charities in the region working across the education, health and cultural sectors.

From our home, a former Victorian farm on the Dorset and Hampshire borders, Coda runs a range of innovative and inclusive activities and brings together a diverse range of partners. We are now seeking to diversify and develop our services, to improve our financial sustainability and increase our capacity for good through an exciting capital development programme and through a merger with a partner charity, Hampshire Art for Recreation and Therapy (hART).

Our major capital development project has already secured some significant support, including a grant from Arts Council England (one of only 66 awards across England), and funds from local Trusts, individuals and local authorities, and we are at the final stages of fundraising to begin work on site in early 2023.

The new facilities at Coda will transform our huge old stable block into learning, workshop, rehearsal and exhibition spaces and this Crowdfunder project aims to raise funds to add a fully accessible studio equipped with adapted tools and equipment for the applied arts, from ceramics to print making and offering professional facilities dedicated to innovative creative health programmes in a truly inclusive environment.
