Aim
To raise funds to do essential renovation work to our clubhouse for the enjoyment of all our members and visitors.
Who are we?
Cockfosters Cricket Club founded in 1873 is a local club for players of all ability to get involved. We pride ourselves in being a place for all whether you are super competitive, just want to watch a game or have a drink at the bar.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Over the past few years we have completed multiple projects to repair and renovate the clubhouse, however there is still more to do and we are unable to complete the work in our current financial position. We have numerous projects that will benefit our members and visitors.
We are thrilled to have the support of Sport England to match fund our fundraising efforts. If we raise £12,278, they will donate the same figure to our club bringing us to the total of £24,556 which covers all the repair work!
How we’ll spend the money raised
For 2026 there is a variety of projects that we want to complete, but the focus for this fundraising drive are:
- Clubhouse toilets work - Essential due to roof and structural damage
- Veranda replacement - The current structure which is a health and safety risk
If we have any additional funds we would look to make even further improvements such to our clubhouse which would be of benefit to all our members and visitors. Such as; adding exterior lighting, improvement to the paving area and replacing the carpark barrier. All of which are current safety concerns to our committee.
How you can play your part
There are three simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
