Aim

Interested in colouring in Coalville? A fantastic opportunity to create a new mural in the centre of town, with your help and support!

Four local artists have come together to share their skills and design a mural that is colourful, attractive and will bring a smile to people's faces! Here is our base design:

Tommy, originally from Birmingham is a professional street artist and videographer, passionate about promoting culture in Coalville. 

Tomas, originally from the Philippines, has recently hosted an exhibition of beautiful landscapes of Coalville. 

Si, AKA, Retrovandal, is a local artist that painted the Rock Café in Whitwick.

Hannah, a local artist building her street art experience while supporting the community. 

Together with permission and support from East Midlands Homes, The Red House and Hermitage FM they intend to create a mural creating a new, modern and vibrant mural for the town, pioneering a new, modern style while celebrating what we have.

And you can get involved too! 

The piece includes a View Finder (remember those toys?) And the pictures in the viewfinder will represent the best of Coalville. To be decided by the public!  It could be a person, a building, an animal, a sculpture, an organisation, or anything else you can imagine. There are 10 spaces to fill! 5 will be decided by a community vote and the others will be a bonus for those who donate.
