Aim
We aim to employ an additional full-time coach and deliver classes at different levels, from beginners progressing from TNT to team players.
🎾 Help Us Grow Tennis for Everyone at Wallace Park!
We’re raising £10,000 to expand our Tennis in No Time (TNT) programme — helping more people in Lisburn discover tennis, make friends, and get active, regardless of experience or income.
With your support, we can hire an additional full-time coach, launch new daytime and advanced classes, and make tennis at Wallace Park open to more people.
👋 What is “Tennis in No Time”?
Tennis in No Time (TNT) is our flagship beginner programme that’s already helped over 400 adults learn to play tennis — many for the very first time!
It’s a six-week course that covers all the basics in a fun, relaxed environment:
Week 1. Forehand
Week 2. Volley
Week 3. Serve
Week 4. Doubles Positioning
Week 5. Backhand
Week 6. Revision & Games
Each session is welcoming, social, and taught by qualified coaches who specialise in helping adults start from zero.
🎾 No equipment needed – we provide rackets.
🎾 No pressure – everyone is a beginner.
🎾 Just fun, movement, and laughter.

💡 Why We Need Your Help
Our TNT graduates love the game — but after the course ends, there’s often a gap.
- Beginners can feel intimidated joining experienced groups.
- Improvers need structured coaching to keep progressing.
- Advanced players need team-level training to stay challenged.
By employing one more full-time coach, we can split our coaching by ability and offer a complete player pathway:

🏆 Team & Tournament – for competitive players training for leagues
This will make tennis at Wallace Park inclusive, supportive, and sustainable for everyone — from your first rally to your first match win!
🏠 About Us
The Schools Tennis Project Ltd, a registered charity passionate about making tennis accessible to all.
We manage Wallace Park Indoor Tennis Centre on behalf of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, and established Lisburn Tennis Club at the courts we refurbished at Wallace High School.
Over the past two years, we’ve:
✅ Given 400+ adults free TNT coaching
✅ Built a thriving community of daytime players
✅ Created PlayMoreTennis.com — a digital hub where players can find events, book courts, and connect with others
But to keep growing, we need your help.

With your support (and match funding from Sport NI), we’ll expand our daytime and advanced coaching programmes this winter — especially for stay-at-home parents, retirees, and flexible workers.

TNT Free Classes - 7 classes/week × 1.5 hrs × 11 weeks @ £20/hr - £2,310
‘Beginner to Club’ Drop-In Coaching - 3 classes/week × 1.5 hrs × 11 weeks @ £20/hr - £1,350

All our coaching will remain at an affordable rate — typically £8 for a 90-minute session for members — keeping tennis within everyone’s reach.
