Your support makes a difference
At Sports For Champions UK CIC, we don’t just create dreams – we build champions. Embark on this transformative journey with us today.

Co-op Academy Swinton is fundraising for an inspirational Sports for Champions experience, bringing children together for movement, motivation and the opportunity to learn from an accomplished sporting role model.
We want pupils to discover what sits behind sporting achievement: the practice, patience, setbacks, teamwork and determination. Above all, we want them to leave feeling encouraged to believe in themselves.
Our visiting athlete is currently being confirmed.
Sports for Champions’ portfolio includes Olympians, Paralympians, world champions, international competitors and professional athletes across a wide range of sports. Their experiences offer children a chance to hear what it takes to pursue a goal, overcome disappointment and keep going when things become difficult.
The athletes pictured above are examples from our wider portfolio. Their photographs do not mean that any particular athlete has been confirmed for this school yet.
Behind every school visit is careful coordination. We need to bring together the school’s agreed date and time with the athlete’s availability, travel arrangements and sporting commitments.
For athletes who are actively competing, those commitments can change. Coaches may adjust training programmes, an unexpected injury may require treatment or recovery, or an athlete may be called up at short notice to compete on home soil or abroad.
Our team liaises with the athletes themselves, their coaches and, where required, their national governing bodies to work through those arrangements.
Please bear with us while that work continues. We know children and families are excited to find out who they will meet, and we want to share an agreed name rather than announce someone before their attendance is confirmed.
While we finalise the visiting athlete, families and friends can already support the school’s Sports for Champions fundraising project.
Your support helps make the programme possible, with funds used and shared as explained in this page’s fundraising breakdown. Donations support the project; they are not conditional on the attendance of an athlete shown in the montage.
Every contribution is appreciated. Sharing the page with friends and family is another valuable way to help.
Our Inspirational Athlete Workshop brings together an athlete-led fitness circuit, an engaging account of the athlete’s sporting journey and an opportunity for pupils to ask questions.
The purpose reaches beyond sport. We want children to see that progress takes effort, that setbacks can be worked through, and that asking for help and supporting one another are strengths.
You don’t have to dream of winning a medal to take something meaningful from an athlete’s story.
As soon as the visiting athlete is confirmed, we will notify the school and update this page with their name, photograph, sport and story.
Our promise is to keep the children at the heart of our preparations, work tirelessly towards an inspiring experience and keep the school informed throughout.
Thank you for your patience, generosity and encouragement. Together, we can help children see new possibilities for themselves.
