Aim
Raise funds for renovation and development of Surbiton HC clubhouse
ABOUT OUR FUNDRAISER
We are renovating the Surbiton Hockey Club clubhouse and with the work now well underway, we’re launching an Autumn 2025 hockey-based fundraising challenge with a goal: we're looking to raise at least £150 per player. We’re asking every junior player in the club to get involved, so reach out to friends and family to support your effort and help contribute to the incredible new clubhouse facilities. Every pound you raise is a brick in the foundation of our future!
HOW WILL THE CHALLENGES WORK?
Each age group is completing their own skill challenge to represent an element of the game. We'll be integrating some of the challenges into regular training sessions as well as special events to get involved in, and each age group will also have a special ambassador supporting you along the way!
We're also making it competitive as we find out which age group can average the most money per player!*
U8/U10
9.68km dribble challenge (10 metres of contact dribbling for every SHC junior member who played at Surbiton in the 24/25 season - this is a total of 106 pitch lengths!)
U12
4200 drags challenge (a drag to represent every second of a 70 minute game of hockey)
U14
4930 juggles challenge (5 juggles for every junior member who played at SHC in the 24/25 season)
U14/U16
5027m air challenge (a step with the ball in the air to represent each of the 5027 square metres of a hockey pitch)
Goalkeepers
1566 kicks challenge (10 kicks for each m2 of the hockey goal you guard)
HOW DO I TRACK MY PROGRESS & DONATE THE MONEY I'VE RAISED?
Keep a log of how much of your challenge you've completed as you go along... already reached your target? Keep going! Send us videos/photos of you taking part (or tag us on social media @surbitonhc) & we'll share the best efforts on instagram and TikTok!
To reduce the admin fees paid on the funds raised, we are encouraging players to donate their money in one go where possible (i.e. pool the sponsorship you've collected from your friends and family and donate to our Crowdfunder in one payment). *Make sure your age group (e.g. BOYS U12) is noted on the form so we can add your funds to your age group's total!
