On the 2nd September 2022 we'd raised £19,034 with 110 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Continue to invest in more & improved playing facilities, giving greater opportunities for community use and driving forwards their increased involvement in the sporting & social activities at the CFC.
Increase the number of junior teams giving more kids the chance to have fun and get involved.
We are an inclusive and growing grassroots community football club in a ex-mining village, supporting 2 senior teams and a youth setup that ranges from U6 teams all the way up to our U16"s team. The men's first team formed in 1928 are playing at Step six in the United Counties League Division one and play at the Lido ground which is central to the local community. The youth teams play in age specific local youth football leagues. Over the last 2 years Covid-19 has hit local football clubs extremely hard and Clipstone FC are no exception, we have lost a lot of our usual income due to no fees coming in, cancellation of events, no gate revenue along with reduced sponsors donations, however the facilities still needed to be maintained which has put extra pressure on already strained funds and we do not want this to affect our ambitious future plans.
by providing a safe friendly relaxed place to enjoy football we give local men, children and youth (boys and girls) of all levels the opportunity to enjoy a healthier, active life-style doing something they enjoy.
As well as offering an alternative to getting pulled into anti-social behaviour and poor life choices, we reduce isolation and loneliness by providing a place to meet, play, interact, make new friends and improve confidence. Providing diversionary activities for our communities youngsters we lower levels of anti-social behaviour which benefits all our community.
Our club is run by volunteers (Committee, team managers, coaches, groundsmen) which also gives the opportunity for local people to pass on their life-skills and give back to their community as well as improving their own mental state and feeling of self worth.
Below are some of the players ready to do an sponsored speed tunnel shootout to help raise vital funds for the club.
With the impact of Covid-19 resulting in a loss of sponsors and lower numbers of supporters our previous season was a battle financially as well as on the pitch, we have been left in a precarious financial position. Unable to recoup up-front costs through match fees in the usual manner, we’ll be starting next season with a daunting burden. All that and a huge increase in utility fees, water and electric and increased maintenance costs. We have to pay contractors for all other ground/pitch maintenance which can be up to £3000 per pitch per season. We are looking at making life easier for our volunteers by updating our grounds equipment.
As well as the above the funds will help us:
The Football foundation are doing a fantastic job of distributing funding to grassroots clubs from Premier league, the FA and the government. It has a vital role of helping grassroots clubs realise their potential. We are eligible for a 75% grant towards grounds equipment which makes any money raised by the club and its sponsors go a long way with a much bigger impact. HELP THEM TO HELP US
By donating towards our 25%, So £7,500 becomes £28,000 if we hit our target. GREAT VALUE FOR YOUR DONATION!!
Fundraising is essential to help us to raise the 25% we need to fulfil the Football Foundation grant requirements.
We have the ambition to increase the number of junior teams we have which involves extra training and playing costs as well as kit, balls, goals etc.
We have launched this Crowdfunding Campaign to help raise the funds needed to achieve financial stability and ensure our resources match our ambitions. Any help we can receive from the local community towards this target, no matter how small, will go a long way to ensuring our survival and expansion.
Many thanks in advance,
1.Fund the ongoing costs of running the club, which includes next season's pitch maintenance costs, league affiliations, insurance, utilities, footballs, medical equipment
2.New kit for the U23s plus 4 junior kits
3.Improve the standard of our pitches and carry out some much needed improvements to the toilets and spectator experience.
4. Hit Our 25% Target(7,500) For The Football Foundation grant to upgrade grounds equipment which will help our volunteers and upgrade our pitches.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success,
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Create a fundraiser of your own. Use the button on our page to get started. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
We are committed to build on what we have achieved to-date and understand these are tough times & not everyone is in a position to help, but really appreciate any support you can give, whether in the form of a straight donation (that will also be eligible for Gift Aid) or in return for one of our array of awards. Thank you from the bottom of our sporting hearts!
In addition to what you give, Sport England, have made a generous pledge of match-funding if we hit our £17500k target total (including their pledge), but we do need to reach that to unlock it, they are committed to helping get people active and supporting clubs during these tricky times - which will make a massive difference to our club, many thanks to their team for all their help and valuable advice.
Please help us to make a massive difference to peoples lives in our community.
