Raise money for Mummy's Star and the Benevolent Fund of the College of Optometrists and AOP

10 years ago, just after I was born, my Mum was told that she had aggressive cancer that needed immediate treatment. Thanks to the wonderful NHS she is here today to tell her story.

This year is 10 years clear for her so we have decided to raise money for two important charities that helped my Mum and Dad when they needed it the most.

My mum will tell you why:

"Mummy’s Star is the only charity in the UK and Ireland dedicated to women and birthing people diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy or within 12 months of giving birth, and their families. Their mission is to provide cancer support to every family facing this traumatic situation. They helped us through an incredibly challenging time of our life.

The Benevolent Fund of the College of Optometrists and AOP provided invaluable financial support when we needed it the most and now we would like to give back so they can continue to help others that need it."

This year my family are going to take part in 2 climbs. I will join them in climbing Mount Snowdon in August, before my Mum and Dad venture to climb Ben Nevis later in the year.
