Britain today is in crisis, the world is in crisis we see war genocide and famine abroad and collapsing living standards at home. The world capitalist system brings obscene wealth to the lucky few billionaires in charge of it and poverty, hunger and misery to everyone else.
The British ruling class has followed its American paymasters into one war after the next. Anything to secure their source of wealth and position in the world, from Iraq to Syria, Libya Yemen Ukraine and now Iran. Each time British soldiers are killed and hundreds of thousands of our so called "enemies" are bombed shot or starved to death, for the profits of oil companies and no benefit to the workers of any country.
Whether the Labour, Tory, Reform or Green party wins the next election, none of them will be able to solve the worsening conditions that we live through because all of them are bought and payed for by the Upper class. Tax cuts for the rich and austerity for the poor is the only way they can keep their system afloat. Each time the workers feel the pinch they are told by all parties that it is immigrants making things worse to distract from the fact that it is really the fault of the ultra-rich, cutting wages, hiking prices and planning their actions from Epstein's Island.
This is part and parcel of the capitalist economy and the bourgeois state and the only way to improve things is to tear down their system and build our own.
Most workers understand this, in fact a 2023 poll found that a third of young people consider themselves communist and you'll find very few people who don't have a decent understanding of the situation we're in.
What is needed is a party that can channel this anger into a movement that can actually overthrow this system and build a new society ran by the working class.
The Revolutionary Communist Party will be that party, but only if we can get the funding we need to increase the scope of our activities. Currently we are working at pace and have doubled in size to almost 1400 members in the last four years, but it is not enough. We now have a presence in every major town and city in the country, but we don't just want a presence, we want to be leading the struggles that are unfolding.
To do this we need money to finance new propanda outlets to reach more people with our ideas, more full time members to support, inspire and lead work in the branches and to expand our book shop Wellred Books so that we can be the pole of attraction for people wanting to read about, learn from and practice Marxism.
The more money we can raise the better we will be able to build the party and the closer we will be to overthrowing capitalism and building a new communist society for the working class.
