Young people come together to take care of their climate emotions & find solutions to the crisis with hope, solidarity, & concrete action.
Force of Nature is a leading nonprofit supporting young people to turn their climate anxiety into action. Our free programmes help young people feel empowered and develop the skills to make a difference.
Since we hosted our first climate café at the Natural History Museum in 2022, we've supported young people to host over 1000 climate cafés in nearly 50 countries. Many of these cafés have become long-term projects, building lasting change and resilience in communities.
Climate cafés are community-organised, often youth-led, spaces for people to discuss their thoughts and feelings about the climate crisis. As a result of coming together, people find comfort in their shared experiences, learn from different perspectives and model the world they wish to create.
Force of Nature's free resources provide guidance and tools for hosting a climate café, enabling young people to create community-centred, safe spaces, where people can share their feelings in a supportive, non-judgmental way.
Although climate cafés are not a new concept, ours is the first global youth-led initiative.

Young people are experiencing the current and anticipated effects of the climate crisis at an alarming rate. By taking care of how we feel, we are more likely to develop agency and to build effective solutions.
We have seen a significant increase in demand for our climate café resources. Around the world, young people want to host cafés, but they often lack the necessary support and resources to do so.
During COP30, we're launching our 'How to host a climate café' guide in five new languages — Arabic, Portuguese, Swahili, Spanish, and French — to ensure more young people can use it.
To ensure money is not a barrier to hosting cafés, we have a microgrant scheme to cover costs such as travel, materials, venue hire, refreshments, and speaker fees. Grants will range from £50 to £250, and will be prioritised for groups excluded from climate conversations and those most affected by the crisis.
Microgrants have played a significant role in the reach of the climate café initiative so far. In 2023, we distributed 69 grants, which reached 700 young people.

To run our microgrant scheme, we need to raise £5,000 through crowdfunding. As a result, we aim to see an additional 200 climate cafés hosted by the end of 2026.
A very generous supporter of our work, Sam Gomersall, has agreed to match all donations made via Crowdfunder up to £5,000, bringing our total to £10,000. This means that any donation you make will be doubled!
No donation is too big or too small.
“My generation has an obligation to do what we can to address the climate crisis. By funding Force of Nature, I'm resourcing younger generations to lead the change that's needed”. Sam Gomersall
Beyond a big virtual hug from our team, we will share quarterly updates and stories from young people hosting climate cafés, including information about the ripple effect they are having on their wider communities.
As a donor, you can download our “Climate Café Custodian” badge to show your support for climate action.
We're also excited to offer those who donate over £1500 two hours with the Force of Nature team. We can host our 'Anxiety to Agency' workshop for you and a group of friends or colleagues, or work with you and your workplace to create safe spaces for everyone to explore their climate emotions.
Thank you for learning more and supporting our vital work.
