This new project explores the (un)psychology of the climate crisis. The conversation about climate change — and our relationship and connection with the Earth — is one that really needs to happen. In many ways, the climate crisis is a psychological and spiritual crisis, as much as a political and ecological one.
Unpsychology Magazine has just published its Climate Minds Anthology, a compilation of creative responses to the climate crisis and its consequences for the planet and the psyche. This beautiful volume has been made available as a free download in order to extend its reach as far and wide as possible, and its contributors are not reimbursed for their writing and artwork.
But that's not enough for us: we want to grow the conversation wherever we can. Over the coming months we would like to host a number of small, casual events around the country and to connect with existing networks across the mental health and wellbeing, environmental, spiritual and social activist communities.
Donations to this Crowdfunder campaign will go toward:
- securing venues in selected locations, or attending existing events;
- travel to events and basic accommodation where necessary;
- promotion of the project and any scheduled events.
Please contribute to the Climate Mind Conversations project and help us to create a conversational movement that will address the stark but hopeful questions we have asked in the Climate Minds Anthology: what is? what might be? and what can be done?
You can also visit us at our home on Medium.com where the conversation continues online.
