On 5th June (World Environment Day), I leave on a 3-month cycle adventure around mainland Britain talking with people, communities, organisations, charities and councils about what they’re doing to mitigate climate change.
Climate Cycle’s mission is to inspire the nation into action around climate change. Every project I’m visiting shares a unique way we can help save the planet.
Some projects are grassroots movements, such as protecting the Scottish whales and beach cleanups and others are cutting edge technology tackling micro plastics in our cleaning products.
Some projects focus on nature-based solutions, re-wilding our seabeds and gardens and others resolve our imminent food crisis such as gleaning food from farmland, cooking for the climate and foraging.
I'm cycling on a hand-made bamboo bike and I'm also inviting people to cycle along with me for 1-hour, 1-day or even 1-week! I'd love to inspire 3,000 cyclists join me, and I'll fund 1 tree to be planted for every cyclist who logs their cycle (with me, or near their home via Climategames app)!
