Help us equip every Orritor PS & Nursery pupil with modern devices—boosting digital skills from Nursery to KS2 & the community!
Who are we, and what is our project about?
We are Orritor Primary School and Nursery Unit, a small and caring school community just outside Cookstown, supporting over 210 children from Nursery through Key Stage 2. Our project, Click, Learn, Shine: Orritor PS and NU Tech Transformation, aims to transform our outdated computer bay into a vibrant ICT hub. This space will give our pupils access to modern technology to support learning across all stages, while also offering digital support and training to the wider community.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We’re crowdfunding to upgrade our outdated digital resources and create a vibrant ICT hub that meets the needs of all our pupils—from Nursery through Key Stage 2—by providing age-appropriate devices, modern infrastructure, and engaging digital learning opportunities. This project will also extend beyond the classroom, offering digital support and training to the wider community, helping bridge the digital divide and promote lifelong learning.
How we’ll spend the money raised
The funds will be used to:
- Purchase new devices: Age-appropriate tablets and computers for Nursery, Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 pupils to ensure every child has access to modern digital learning tools.
- Upgrade infrastructure: Install secure charging stations, and ensure classrooms are equipped to support interactive learning.
- Invest in educational software: Provide access to high-quality learning platforms that support literacy, numeracy, coding, and creativity.
- Deliver training and support: Offer sessions on online safety, scam awareness, and digital confidence for pupils, parents, and community members.
