Click and Collect and Home Delivery Scheme

Aim

I am planning to run a pilot scheme to allow small local shops to provide click and collect and delivery services for their communities.

Summary

We're The Local Food Group and we're raising £2000 to develop a Click+Collect & Home Delivery service for independent local businesses.

About You

I am a qualified engineer who is passionate about community businesses! I have previously invested in a very successful website design business which is now expanding in to the United States. E-commerce gives SME's the platform that they need in order to fight back and give their customers what they want; convenient access to local businesses.

What is your idea?

The Local Food Group will allow a number of small local businesses to work together in order to provide services to their customers. The online platform will sell meats from the butcher, fish from the fishmonger, veg from the greengrocer and bread from the baker, and allow the customer to have all of those items delivered or made available for collection at a time and place convenient for them. You can shop at all your local family businesses, all at once.

Why are you Crowdfunding?

I need to develop the website. I already have enough money to fund the pilot scheme, which will be run for a minimum of 1 month, but I need to start developing the website now, as it will take about 2 months to complete.
