All or nothing
This project needs 100% of its target
We are hoping to raise £50,000 to help us open a cafe across the street from Quince Bakery. Clementine will open around September
Quince Bakery, the much-loved neighbourhood bakery on New North Road in Islington, is hoping to bring Clementine to life; a new café set to open opposite the bakery this September.
Founded by pastry chef Anna Higham to celebrate British produce and baking traditions, Quince has become a cornerstone of the Islington community since opening in early 2024. The bakery has quickly become a neighbourhood institution.
Clementine is the natural next chapter and will carry that same philosophy into a café setting. The dedicated breakfast, brunch and lunch space is located directly across New North Road from the bakery, extending the Quince experience. It will open Wednesday to Sunday.

The menu will be rooted in British tradition with the same ever-changing seasonal sensibility that has made Quince a destination. Clementine will continue strong relationships with suppliers such as Flourish and Landrace, providing the very best produce. Comforting porridge, soup and toasties will be staples, alongside Quince’s much-loved tattie scones, pies, buns, and scones with lashings of jam and cream.

Anna Higham, Owner & Head Baker comments:
"The goal is to continue the community feel we have built at Quince Bakery with a similarly joyful and creative menu. We'll be keeping the same focus on British traditions and working closely with the best suppliers, which is really at the heart of everything we do."
We hope that the rewards we have created showcase the relationships we have built at Quince. Customers that have become friends and collaborators. We can't wait for the new friendships and relationships we'll discover at Clementine.
