Who are we?
Cleckheaton Ladies Cricket Team, who had their inaugural season in 2024, have been invited to take part in a tri-series tournament in Istanbul, Turkey along with Varna Cricket Club from Bulgaria and Istanbul Cricket Club.
The tour and the tournament came about through a coaching partnership between Point Blank Cricket and Varna Cricket Club.
Point Blank Cricket and Varna Cricket Club have established a partnership to expand opportunities for their cricketers to experience high level coaching and different opportunities such as this one.
Kieran Roger, Head Coach at Cleckheaton Cricket Club and Owner of Point Blank Cricket said ”the interest from the ladies at Cleckheaton Cricket Club was immense and within a few minutes we had enough for a full softball ladies team to travel to Istanbul Cricket Club to compete”.
From beginners to seasoned players, this enthusiastic group of ladies have come together to form a supportive and passionate team that embodies the spirit of community and sportsmanship. The journey to Istanbul promises to be a remarkable adventure, not only for the chance to play international cricket but also for the cultural exchange and camaraderie that this type of trip encourages. It is giving the opportunity to promote ladies cricket within the local areas of Cleckheaton, Istanbul and Varna.
Why are we crowdfunding?

How we’ll spend the money raised
All funds raised will be used put towards travel costs and other expenses associated with the tournament. From flights, to accommodation to kit needed.
