We're still collecting donations
On the 18th November 2022 we'd raised £21,522 with 180 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

On the 18th November 2022 we'd raised £21,522 with 180 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Our bigger picture is to modernise and update the interior and exterior of the building,
Invest in further training and development of the volunteer coaching staff.
Producing some of Leamington’s , The Midlands, England's, Great Britain's, European and The Commonwealths finest fighters including Lewis Williams, Danny Quartermaine, Morgan Ansell, Aman Kumar, Serena Mali, Matty Harris and Jaya Kalsi to name a few. Boxing is one of the oldest sports in the world and requires a lot of respect, dedication and hard work. It is one of the only sports where everyone is equal, this is very much who we are.
Matt Western MP Warwick and Leamington says:
"I visited Cleary’s Gym last night to speak with its owner Edwin Cleary. He’s the trainer of Whitnash’s Commonwealth gold medallist heavyweight boxer Lewis Williams. He’s also developing young talents such as Jaya Kalsi, aged 12, and Serena Mali, 13, who recently became the youngest boxers to represent England at the European Schools Boxing Championships. Serena, from Warwick, won silver - while Jaya, from Leamington, reached the quarter final. Edwin is a dedicated professional and inspirational mentor. He’s done so much for the young people in our area. Boxing is a great sport for self-improvement, discipline, fitness and strength. To anybody still finding themselves and looking for a sport or hobby to commit to, I recommend visiting Edwin at the gym to learn the tricks of the trade. Thanks Edwin and those at the gym for all you do".
The relocation and refurbishment will allow us to show more of our social and ethical responsibility to ensure we are enhancing physical and mental well-being. Through offering more access to ability level sessions which are tailored towards either health, participation or performance meeting the individual needs of each of our members. Our new location is easier to access by foot, bike, car and bus. We want to champion opportunities to participate in sport. Through a facility which can physically cater for larger numbers across multiple demographics, we will continue to attract, celebrate and facilitate participation at any level for all of our members. Not all that glitters is gold, some members don't want to lift belts, some use our club for the social and togetherness aspect which is very much at the centre of our club, the 10 strong certified volunteer coaching staff ensure everyone feels welcome. A number of whom also give their time as officials within the amateur levels. We are always on the look out for more volunteers!
Our plan is to relocate to and refurbish the former Whitnash Community Hall within Leamington as we have now secured the long term lease. Before we can relocate, we need to have a suitable floor for our members to train, disability access wash rooms and the clearing of the outside rear of the building, making way for secure bicycle storage.
Current Interior Planned Interior
Organic growth will come from having a larger gym, plenty of parking spaces, secure bicycle storage and better access for the community around us.

Celebrating our success and cementing our legacy.
#ChildFriendlyWarwickshire attended a celebration event for our local Commonwealth Games gold medallist Lewis Williams
It was great to chat to Matt Western MP at the event about Child Friendly and to celebrate encouraging our children and young people to follow their sporting ambitions!
We also got the chance to chat to Mayor of Warwick Parminder Singh Birdi about Child Friendly and how much Clearys Boxing Gym means to local children, young people and the wider community.
Lewis hopes that his gold medal win will inspire local children and young people to get into sports like boxing.
Lewis said "it was very important for young people to look for role models who will point them in the right direction, especially if they also encourage improving fitness and, in turn, mental health".
