Aim

Using public transport to get to work helps keep our emissions low and raises money for our local community!

🌿 Clean Air Day – 18 June

Join the Challenge: Commute Sustainably & Support Staines Daybreak

On 18 June, we’re inviting everyone to take part in Clean Air Day by travelling to your hub, office, or usual place of work using public transport or another low‑carbon option—whether that’s walking, cycling, or riding a scooter.

🌱 Why take part?

This initiative supports two important goals:

1. Reduce carbon emissions & rethink commuting

• Help improve local air quality.
• Demonstrate that sustainable travel can be realistic and achievable.
• Challenge the idea that public transport is too difficult to use for commuting.
• Explore whether using public transport once a week could become a long‑term habit, helping reduce traffic and congestion on our roads.

2. Raise money for our regional charity

We’ll also be using this day to raise funds for the Staines Daybreak charity, which provides much needed respite care in the local area.

• Choose a low‑emission way to travel to work on 18 June.
• Pledge £2 from each family member to join in the challenge
• Share photos or stories from your journey to inspire the rest of the team.
