Our goal is to raise £1500 to provide 50 clay at home kits for children receiving free meals and activities in Brixton.
Here at Mud Gang, we love making with clay.
We're a small pottery studio based at Hart Club in Lambeth and we've recently launched pottery kits for people to make at home. We would love your help to be able to provide The Childhood Trust with a goal of 50 kits initially (but hopefully more!) to children in Brixton who receive free school meals and activities.
Our goal is to raise £1500 to pay for the cost of 50 kits. Included in the kits are a set of instructions, a simple tool, 1kg of clay, 2 toothpicks and 2 colours of underglaze to decorate with. The pieces can then be carefully returned to us to be fired and glazed in transparent glaze and treasured forever! We will also be sharing detailed tutorials via our instagram @mudgang_pottery.
Our local community is important to us. We want to be able to inspire the next generation of makers and give them the opportunity to try something they perhaps wouldn't have otherwise been able to give a go!
If we manage to meet and surpass our goal, any further donations will be put towards providing more kits to members of our community and any extra equipment that may help us to scale up this project.
