Please support me in raising money for People and Gardens CIC
People and Gardens is a local horticultural project which helps people with learning disability or mental issues by providing a supportive work environment. It provides a safe place where individuals can form friendships, learn new skills, develop a sense of self-worth and receive support from staff and volunteers.
Through my work as a local GP I see first-hand the valuable support offered by this project to many of our patients. The staff and volunteers provide a caring and nurturing environment. I love the focus on seasonal locally grown vegetables and an outdoor environment which encourages physical activity.
It has long been an ambition of mine to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Despite many months of training it still feels like a formidable challenge. The commitment to fundraise for this local project has certainly helped with my motivation to train over the last months regardless of the Cornish weather. I am determined to complete the 1000mile route.
