CIYMS Men's Hockey Club 22/23

Aim

To host a series of Junior Blitz hockey events and become a hub of Junior hockey across Belfast and Ulster Hockey with top class facilities.

Who are we?

CI Men's Hockey Club based at CIYMS, Belfast. Founded in 1896 as one of the founding members of the Ulster Hockey Union. Over 100 members across the Junior and Senior Club.

Community impact

As the only Men's hockey club permanently located in East Belfast, CI provides coaching and development for young hockey players coming through a number of schools as well as those who want to take up the sport later in life.

The playing membership ranges in age from 6 to 68 and provides a sporting community the local area can be proud of.

Why are we crowdfunding?

The COVID-19 pandemic saw clubs across sport impacted as children were playing through school and many were able to avail of outdoor activities for social and exercise requirements. 

This saw an immediate impact to the club as our natural development through the age groups took a two year delay.

We're crowdfunding to support increased activities within the youth setup, ensuring we can host blitz tournaments and bring in additional coaching for the age groups who missed out on the last two years.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
