CIYMS HITTING COVID FOR 6

Aim

We want to make Cricket accessible to as many boys and girls as possible by providing excellent youth programmes.

Who are CIYMS Cricket Club?

• We are a cricket club with under U9,11,13 (boys and girls)/15 & 17 teams
• We have five senior men's teams
• Our 1st XI are one of the most successful teams in Ireland in recent years
• We run a Kwik Cricket programme for 220 children aged from 5-11.
• We are a family and community club open to all with a great lads and dads culture
• We have great facilities for people to come and learn and play the game.

How covid has affected us.

• CIYMS like all clubs were really effected by covid
• We lost players/ coaches/ administrators
• Players drifted away
• We lost sponsors and income

How are we going to bounce back?

• We are going to run a new and improved youth programme
• We are going to train more coaches
• We will provide top class coaching, lead by former New Zealand International cricketer, Ian Butler. 
• We are going to promote the sport in new areas in East Belfast that may have never played cricket before – use our social media and contact local primary schools
• We are going to run after school sessions for boys and girls

Why do we need your support?

• We need the crowd to help us to support the purchase of:
• Equipment- bats/ balls/ cones
• Pay for coaches
• Upskill our existing coaches
• Ensure our coaches have done child protection and first aid training
