Help us raise £10,000 to make Circomedia warmer, more sustainable, and fit for an exciting future.
For more than 22 years, Circomedia’s home at St. Paul’s Church has been a place where people of all ages have discovered confidence, creativity and extraordinary physical skills through circus. Every day, hundreds of children, young people, students, and professional artists come through our doors to train, rehearse and perform.
But now we need your help to keep those doors open.
Every winter, keeping our historic building warm enough for safe training and performance becomes more difficult.
Circus needs heat - for warm muscles, flexible joints and comfortable training conditions. Our students, teachers, and professional artists need a space where they can train and perform safely. But our beautiful historic building with its many lovable quirks is expensive and difficult to heat. It is draughty, poorly insulated, and relies on a 30-year-old heating system that has reached the end of its life and can no longer be repaired.
In the last 12 months alone, heating the building has cost more than £20,000. With energy bills expected to rise sharply in the coming months, as a small charity, that simply isn't sustainable.
That's why we need to raise £10,000 before the colder months arrive.
Your donation now will help us begin urgent energy-efficiency improvements to reduce heat loss, lower running costs and keep our building safe, warm and welcoming throughout the coldest months.
Just as importantly, every pound raised will help unlock further funding towards a new, more sustainable heating system, securing the long-term future of this extraordinary space.
This campaign is about more than a building, it's about securing the future of one of Bristol's most iconic cultural venues. It will help future-proof the place where young people discover confidence, students develop their craft, artists create ambitious new work, and where thousands of audience members experience the joy, wonder, and possibility of circus every year.
With your support, we can make our historic home warmer, more sustainable and fit for a circus-filled future. Please donate today.
