Greetings, family! We are the Cimarons. We are the first reggae band formed in the UK and Europe. We came together in mid 1967.
Over 50 years ago, we started this journey, spreading the message of love, unity and dignity through the medium of reggae music. This journey has taken us to studios, stages and the hearts of millions of people all over the world.
In October, our story hits the big screen in a documentary "Harder Than The Rock": https://www.harderthantherock.com/ telling the story of our struggles, our triumphs, and the music that defined us. Please check the documentary review from The Guardian: The Guardian - REVIEW
But as we look back, we’re also looking forward.
After nearly 40 years, we're ready again to make great new music.
In November 2024 we head to Spain to work with world renowned producer Roberto Sanchez on our new album. We chose Roberto because he is passionate and he knows how to recreate the warm, authentic 1970s reggae feel.
This album will be a reflection of our journey, but it’s also about our future. This is our first time having an opportunity to take control of our voice and our legacy.
This is an independent project, with us owning our music for the very first time ever!
But we can’t do it alone. We need your assistance!
Recording an album takes time and resources: studio time, production, session musicians, mixing, mastering, artwork, CD and vinyl pressing, music video, album promotion and everything in between.
To cover this costs for the production of our new album we need to fill of £15.000 gap. That’s why we’re reaching out to you to help us make this dream a reality.
Through this our crowdfunding campaign we trust that you who stood by us through the years can be a part of this chapter of the Cimarons story. You're not just helping to make an album, but you're becoming heart of reggae history.
We are saying thank you for your kind help.
One Love, One Heart, One People!
