Chyan Community Field Growth

Aim

We are hoping to raise money for the Community Field to breathe a new lease of life into the charity and open it up to more people

Our aim is to involve as many people from our local communities in our site and activities as possible: producing local, organic food, teaching and learning about sustainable living and traditional crafts and encouraging adventurous play and connection with nature.  Young and old, individuals or groups, whether already interested or practising food growing or sustainable living or not; whether they’d like to come and learn or maybe teach us… the land is there as a resource to enjoy and cherish.

Currently we have a weekly gardening group, a weekly playgroup and a bi-weekly Home School group using the Community Field, but we would like to increase our reach and impact.

Future project ideas include A Women's Technology Training Centre, a permanent building for the educational establishments already using the field and updating the accessibility of the field as a whole

We are also planning on holding more events and gatherings in the field to show people the potential it has
