Aim
To provide a Christmas Tree and Christmas Carols on Gipsy Hill.
Wow, what a year! We helped Open Door Kitchen at Christ Church Gipsy Hill provide over 6000 meals to people in need in SE19 and supported the Food Bank run by Kingswood Estate Tenants and Residents Association. We also funded healthy meals as part of ‘basketball & breakfast’ for local children, organised by New Covenant Church, and our volunteers continued to maintain the seasonal planting in the gardens and work on establishing the raised borders in the sidings garden – our garden volunteers have been busy! Now, as we near the end of the year, it’s time to turn our attention once again to the festive period...
Pledge your support and help us bring a community Christmas Tree to Gipsy Hill!
Donations will be used to provide the tree and decorations, as well as facilitating carolling and other activities around the tree throughout December so that the residents of Gipsy Hill can enjoy the festive spirit. Join us for a heart-warming drink at the Great Southern, Colby Arms, The Bull and Finch or Rock Steady while performances happen, or join us online via the live stream on our Facebook page!
What can you pledge?
There are plenty of ways you can support this year’s Christmas tree, from a simple donation to pledging towards a bauble or wreath. And don’t miss our free event to paint a wooden decoration for the tree - see Facebook for details!
-Give £5 to have your own festive message or message of hope hung on the tree
-A donation of £20 will get you your own bauble 3D printed locally and Christmas message on the tree. Choose from: a reindeer, a Christmas tree, a star or a santa
-Pledge £40 to decorate a lamp post on Gipsy Hill or Gipsy Road with a Christmas wreath and your own festive message
-Are you a local business? Sponsor one of the barriers around the tree with 1/4, 1/2 or a whole barrier banner (prices start from £150)

All messages will be confirmed with the Friends committee before being displayed by mid-November.
