What is the Christmas Kindness Campaign
During the current cost of living crisis, Four in Ten families feel that they will not be able to afford a proper Christmas Dinner for their families this Christmas Day. More families than ever are relying on the support of local FoodBank's & Charities due to the current economic turbulence & rising costs, but what about those families in crisis that haven't got onto the radar of Benefits, FoodBanks & other support? We want to help those families this Christmas.
What does it involve?
Working with Poulner Baptist Church, we aim to raise enough money to buy & kit out Christmas Dinner hampers, including all of the things that you would hope to see on your dinner table this December 25th. For many of us, Christmas Dinner is one of the most important meals of the year - A chance to come together with family or friends, be happy & celebrate Christmas together. We want to make sure that even if its for one day, those families can forget their worries and enjoy a festive meal just as the rest of us are.
We want to include all of the Christmas Dinner staples in our hampers, from Turkey to Stuffing, Sprouts to Cheese - This is about making sure that no-one goes without this Christmas Day. We'll be working with local schools, asking them to identify those families in need to our assistance, and all hampers will be handed out anonymously.
How can you help?
Thanks to rising costs, each Hamper is going to cost roughly £50 to assemble. Whatever you can donate would be gratefully received, and the more money that we raise the more families we're able to help in & around Ringwood & the surrounding villages.
