Kirsty Waite, her partner, and their four children have now spent the past six months confined to a single room at the George Nickling House homeless centre, in North Yorkshire.
Their situation could not be more distressing and the family is at breaking point.
The local Reform UK members in the area are working to put pressure on North Yorkshire Council to find a long term solution. Ms Waite works a local job and can afford to pay rent, but the shortage off local housing means they were left homeless when their landlord decided to sell up.
The increasing demands on housing stock from uncontrolled immigration policies and North Yorkshire's own bureaucracy and related delays in releasing empty social housing stock back into circulation is at the heart of this problem, and the impact is damaging local families.
The Chairman of the local Reform UK branch has written to North Yorkshire Council demanding an explanation and urgent remedy to this desperate situation.
Meanwhile, four children are facing the shame and humiliation of spending a Christmas, not around the family dining table, but couped up in a tiny room, not suitable for a couple, let alone six people.
Please help us, therefore, give Ms Waite and her family some relief over the Christmas break by offering them a 7-day break in private accommodation - this will give them the time and space they are craving for. Every single day right now is a living nightmare, and you could bring some immediate relief for all six of them.
We won't solve their long-term issue through this appeal alone, but we would be able to give the four children some happy and joyful memories over the Christmas period.
