Aim
We would like to provide the elderly and young families in need with the treat of a hamper that provides some Christmas essentials.
Our regular community cafe, Hope Cafe, is a midweek coffee morning that runs from 10am-12noon every Thursday. It is an opportunity for local people of all ages to get together over coffee, toast and delicious homemade cake. We have registered as a warm space, and during the winter, we extend the cafe hours every first Thursday of the month and provide hot soup and rolls free of charge. It's a relaxed environment where people can get to know each other, chat, and generally put the worlds to right! Through this project and our other church ministries, we provide Christmas hampers to people in the community who are elderly, vulnerable or struggling with costs in the current cost of living crisis. We would like to provide 55 hampers containing essential Christmas food items and small gifts to help people over the Christmas period.
