Our aim is to provide a Christmas Hamper for everyone who is referred to us that is packed with food and gifts for each member of the family
The Storehouse Project is a small, registered charity that has been running for 15 years. Our goal is to meet the basic but most fundamental needs of our local community by providing those in need of support with food, clothes, toiletries, beds, furniture and household items.
Through this practical provision and our inclusive, caring approach we hope to have a positive impact on each individual's overall wellbeing. We receive referrals from many different services and welcome people from all walks of life without exception. There are no charges for our services.
We run a Local Community Distribution Project where we share any large donations received with other local charities, refuges and services who are also serving our local community and we support vulnerable adults through our volunteering programme, giving them confidence through social interaction and routine to reach out to other community groups.
Every other week adults with learning and physical disabilities join our team and together we prepare food parcels, home starter packs and many other things in preparation for our deliveries. The difference that this partnership makes is extremely valuable to both parties.
Every Christmas we run our Christmas Hamper Appeal supporting between 300-500 families referred to us from around 75 different services. We would use any money raised through Crowdfunder UK to buy food, toiletries and gifts for each member of the family.
