Aim
I plan to make and distribute as many Christmas Joy boxes as I can to the local dog shelters and homeless people with dogs.
Hi I'm Madi! I'm 13 years old and my very best friend is my dog named Jabi. She's 5.
My home flooded on 9th August 2024 and mum, Jabi-The-Dog, Florence-the-hamster, and I have been moving from hotel to cottage to Airbnb to hotel to Airbnb for what feels like FoReVeR! We call it "Our Big Adventure" and try keep cheerful. But I've noticed how anxious Jabi-The-Dog has been getting. She sticks to me and mum like glue!
This got me thinking about dogs in shelters and homeless dogs. Jabi-The-Dog is lucky to have us, but those dogs must feel soooo scared and lonely! I wanted to go volunteer at a shelter, but I'm not old enough to do that, so I've decided to make up some gift boxes to spread Christmas Joy to them instead! I have bought some baskets and have started collecting a few things I've bought with my own money, but I'd like to be able to do more.
I'm hoping to include a jumper, blanket, two toys, some food and some treats in each basket. I also want to include hats, scarves, gloves and food for the humans in the homeless dogs' baskets.
It would be great if I could make hundreds!
