Christmas Food Bank Appeal

Silver Road Community Centre is a Food Bank and Community Fridge as well as a hub of the community.  It is volunteer run.  This year we are in dire need of more food.  The cost of living crisis has hit more people harder than ever and now with rising unemployment Christmas is going to be a hard time for local people.

There are many older people in the area who are isolated and feeling the pinch of winter.  This will increase with the lack of the winter fuel payment - we want to be able to help those in need and make sure they have enough food for Christmas which can be a hard time for them and for the young families in the area

We help 900 people a month with extra food and are running low on supplies - we need your help!

We are having a community meal on 19th December and need to buy the supplies for that too.

Our community cooking classes are helping make the mince pies - 

But we need to source vegetables for the event - this is from last year
