Aim

Re:store Christmas cheer to the community by helping families and children who need assistance in these difficult times.

RE:STORE Axe Valley CIC has been set up to continue what has been established by the Seaton Coronavirus Community Group (SCCG) and to build on the fantastic help provided by volunteers, along with the strong sense of community that has emerged.

One of the aims of RE:STORE is to look after the vulnerable and less fortunate and to bring a sense of happiness and belonging to the wider community.

The initial crowdfund was set up to try and help provide meals during the October half term holiday for those who receive free school meals.

Due to the lateness of this initiative the main focus was Seaton Primary School, and with the help of the PTA and Head Teacher we managed to reach out to families who were in need of assistance and ultimately, we were able to help about 20 children.

Local businesses such as Pebbles Café, Taste of the West Café @ Seaton Jurassic, Squirrel, Natural Worx & SAVE food hub all came together to assist the scheme and via crowdfunding we have managed to raise over £1500 so far.

As only a fraction of this was used during the October half term holiday, we are looking to utilise the funds raised towards some Christmas cheer for those families who may be in need of support in these difficult and challenging times.

We are aiming to put together a food package/hamper for each family along with a book (applicable to their age) and vouchers to spend in a local business (this will also benefit the local businesses during these difficult times).

Please donate if you can and help us restore some Christmas cheer to the Community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
