12 Choristers of St German's Cathedral, Isle of Man will embark on a trip in 2025 to visit the town of Ypres in Belgium. During the trip we shall follow the battleground journey of 15 year old Peel resident, Private Robert Arthur Vick as well as visit his grave. The culmination of the trip will involve us singing at the Remembrance Ceremony at the Menin Gate. We hope to also visit St Martin's Cathedral and other cultural areas of interest.
We have some funding, but we need your help to meet the remaining balance...
We are a small population of only 80, 000 people on the Isle of Man and it is remarkable that we are able to sustain a Cathedral choir. We are the only choir of its type, where child singers are able to integrate and learn from adult singers on the Island.
The Cathedral Choir was established by Dr Litman in 2012 and continues to sing 3 services a week, national and civic events on Island. We also sing in Cathedrals off the island and have a bi-annual exchange with the choir of Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.
