Chill for Change: Freezer upgrade urgently needed!

Aim

Kirriemuir Food Hub needs your help! We need two new sustainable and accessible glass fronted freezers for our "shop front"

Introduction

At Kirriemuir Food Hub, we're passionate about reducing both food waste and food insecurity. Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our community has access to fresh produce and food products, simultaneously distributing supermarket food waste and donations through our Community Fridge. 

However, to continue fulfilling this commitment, we need your support.

The Need

Our current freezers, the heart of our operations, have served us well but have recently stopped working. As our community's demand grows, we find ourselves facing limitations due to inadequate storage capacity. This is where we need your help.

The Goal

We're launching the "Chill for Change" campaign to raise funds for the purchase of two new, energy-efficient freezers. By upgrading our freezers, we'll significantly enhance our capacity to store perishable goods, reduce food waste, and continue supporting the community. 

Using new, glass fronted freezers will not only we keep our energy costs to a minimum, but make it easier so much easier for our customers, thus keeping to our core values of sustainability and accessibility.
