Fund the wave of cultural and politics activities taking place this year to mark 50 years since the bloody coup in Chile.
This year marks 50 years since the bloody coup in Chile that saw detention, torture, murder, disappearances and exile used as repressive tools to silence dissent and kill democracy.
Chile 50 years has organised a series of events to raise awareness about the coup, celebrate the solidarity that helped so many and to commemorate those that had their lives brutally taken from them.
We need your help to keep the cultural and political train moving!
Chilean refugees were welcomed to 119 countries across the globe. With us we brought culture and political vigour and a deep desire to keep resisting and fighting for truth and justice. We received amazing solidarity from ordinary people in the UK.
Linking in with political activity at the time, from the miners strike to the campaign against nuclear disarmament and the anti-apartheid movement - we were there.
And we are still here - organising in our communities, our workplaces and schools to campaign for human rights, social justice, workers rights and standing in solidarity with oppressed peoples around the world.
If, like us, you believe that preserving memory is a political act, we invite you to get involved and make a donation.
Who we are
