Aim
Our mission is to provide new and pre-loved clothes to families in need in the Dunfermline area for children up to and including 18 years.
Who are we?
We are a children’s clothing bank (Registered Charity Number SC050347) based in Dunfermline.
Set up five years ago as a response to the financial impact of Covid 19, we sadly find that, in 2025, our services are now needed more than ever as the cost-of-living crisis hits families hard.
Almost all requests are for a week’s worth of clothing, often including footwear and school uniform. In the past five years, we have provided over 2,500 clothing parcels, helping over 1,300 local families.
In addition to donations of top-quality clothing from the local community, at CCBD we rely on cash donations to allow us to supplement our pre-loved clothes with brand new underwear and pyjamas for each and every clothes parcel we produce.
We also have a system where we provide older teenage children with a £50 clothing voucher to supplement a smaller clothing parcel, which will allow the teenager to pick their own clothes.
Finally, financial donations received can allow us to purchase specific clothing requests to enable children to take part in afterschool activities along with their peers.
